Our plans aim to transform the current Morleys department store building into a development which reflects the modern shopping era. The site at 103-111 Mitcham Road will continue to have retail or commercial uses on the ground and lower ground floors to provide activity facing the main road. This will be augmented with 24 residential homes above and to the rear of the site. The size of the commercial units and the central location will ensure that the new building remains a vibrant feature of Tooting town centre. The 24 new homes will be for families and individuals alike. There will be a mixture of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. Provision will be made for affordable housing. The residential development will be predominantly entered through a communal courtyard from Franciscan Road.
